I had the day off, so I decided to go out to Lake St-Francis and play around a little. The area that I usually launch the boat was semi frozen, so we had to blaze a trail with the aid of the net handle and the electric motor shaft. Fortunately, the wind had most of the creek open and it didn’t take too long to get to the channel and all the open water. The air tenps were in the low 40’s and the water temps were around 46 degrees. We had a pretty good wind gusting to 25 knots, but it was very fishable. In the 5 or 6 hours f fishing, we must have caught 30 bass and lost several others. I even managed to catch a Musky of about 12 pounds on a spider grub. Overall a great day!
