Insane Weather & Bass Action

Herm’s second and last day here had us taking a road trip to a different puddle in search of walleye & bass. Unfortunately the walleye bite was a little slow and we only managed a few keepers before switching over to the bass. This bite however was on fire and very little time between fish was had! Plenty of big ones were caught along with lots of other good sized smallies before we were done. Great day on the water and we actually fished in T Shirts today! Insane weather for the end of October!

Another Hot Fall Day

I was back on the water for sturgeon again, with Herm & Christiane today. We spent the entire day targeting the giants but fell a little short, catching only the small and medium ones. Plenty of moves and fish caught but unfortunately I couldn’t get into the monsters today. Despite all of that, it was another unbelievably beautiful day!

Crazy Nice Weather

Adam and his son James were with me today, along with his father Walter. We fished for sturgeon in the morning and managed to get into a few good ones. James also landed a couple of Redhorse suckers!

The afternoon saw us targeting bass and walleye under flat calm conditions and James reeled in most of the fish that were hooked. Both Adam & Walter brought in walleye as well.

They decided to end the day by 3:00 as the little guy was getting tired. Good day but way too many boats out with this beautiful weather!

Tough Battles

Gaetan & Michel wanted to try for sturgeon so we started on the big fish first. Unfortunately we only lasted a couple of hours max before they wanted to catch something smaller. They managed to get several good ones in the short time we remained on them. Too bad I wasn’t able to fish them all day because I was alone and the fish were biting!

The remainder of the day was spent fishing for bass and walleye and they also got into them as well. It was a great day all around with plenty of action!

Game On

Darren, Mark & Dave were with me this weekend for their annual fishing trip. We focussed on bass both days and they caught a bunch each day. Saturday saw us starting out in a giant fog bowl that never really lifted until after 11:00. We had to be cautious wherever we went! Once the sun came out the fishing picked up and it was game on.

Sunday we changed puddles and despite all the other fishermen on the water, they managed to catch bigger & more than the previous day. With side bets on amongst the gang, it was quite competitive! I’m not sure who finished on top but I do know that Mark had big fish of the day. Great two days of fishing!
