Canadian Vacation

Dimitri was in the boat today, from France and flying solo. For the second day in a row, the weather looked perfect and I knew we were going to catch fish. Hopefully several species he had never seen before too!We trolled for a while in the morning and managed to catch both pike and walleye. Some overs and some keepers came aboard and one of them even went into the well for his dinner tonight.The balance of the day was spent on bass and sturgeon and he managed to catch both of these as well. With very little wind and mostly sunshine, we had a picture-perfect day of fishing.Dimitri’s first trip to Canada was a great one as today’s outing was just the start to his vacation. He enjoyed fishing for some different species and managed to capture both walleye and smallmouth bass for the first time. I only hope that the rest of his stay will be equally as good as the start!!
