Corey and his family were with me today and oh how the conditions change! We went from picture perfect conditions yesterday to not so great today. The winds were blowing out of the SE and it was supposed to change to the S and get big. I also wanted to try for sturgeon and wasn\u2019t sure if I would be able to hold where I wanted to fish. This was soon confirmed when I made long runs to a couple of places, unsuccessfully! We would have to settle for a troll quicker than I thought!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several hours were spent covering water, with only a handful of fish for our efforts, before I switched up to casting for bass. As they were all novices, instructions were necessary on how to cast. We spent a couple of hours doing this on the south side of the lake, out of the wind. Limited success was had in the shallows casting soft plastics. At one point in the afternoon, the winds diminished and we made another long run back to where I had wanted to start the day. The weatherman had gotten it wrong again! Instead of the winds being 20 to 30 km per hour, the lake was now flat calm. We made a few passes. dropshotting and they managed to catch several more fish before we were chased off the water by electrical storms. This day was full of many different weather changes. It began rough with big SE winds and sunshine and ended flat calm and stormy. Talk about a roller coaster of a ride!  It\u2019s not a wonder why everything was messed up, with the fishing. The full moon wasn\u2019t much of a help either as it never seems to be great fishing during the day. In the end we scratched up a bunch of fish using various techniques and running all over the lake. I only hope that tomorrow things settle down, so that I can get back to normal fishing once again. Hoping for an easier day!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
