Quebec Fishing Reports
Big Wind Big BiteJune 10, 2022
Big winds had me contemplating where to go this morning as we headed out to fish. Dallas, Adam, Brian and Dylan joined me and we finally made our way out of the rollers. The fishing wasn’t great with the 62 degree water temps but we grinded out some decent pike & walleye. The highlight was an unexpected lunge that ate one of the walleye lures and 15 minutes later, brought boatside for the release! Rough seas today!
Perfect Weather DayJune 7, 2022
Spent the day with Serena and Mike today targeting pike & walleye and caught a bunch! Although a little slow to start it definitely picked up as the water warmed. We moved around and found fish everywhere we went with some really nice oversized walleye. They even managed to catch enough fish for their dinner tonight!
More Big EyesJune 4, 2022
I spent another afternoon targeting walleye with Christiane again today. Although not as many keepers, there were some really large eyes caught. There were also plenty of pike and a bunch of perch in the mix too. Thankfully no lunge today!
A Relaxing DayJune 3, 2022
Christiane & I spent the day targeting walleye and managed a good limit of fish. Along with the keepers, there were also some really good fish and one bonus lunge to end the day. It was quite an epic battle too!
A Big North EastJune 1, 2022
An afternoon trip saw a strong north easterly wind greeting us as we headed on the water. Pierre & Charles were in for a tough bite as the water temps had dropped significantly, causing the fish to be lethargic. I barely found 60 degrees in most areas and had to try slower speeds and various baits to get bit. I did however locate one area that had over 62 degrees and concentrated here for most of our time. There were many fish landed but very few keeper sized walleye. It’s not always a bad thing when the fish are too big, but they were hoping to bring a few home for dinner! By the time we were all done, they had enough for a good meal and many others were released to grow even bigger. Oddly enough the walleye made up for 80% of the catch today. Not many pike for a change and that was perfectly fine by me! A tough but very rewarding day on the water!
